The Teacher and Healer
Gacheke is a Certified Yoga Teacher, Pranic Healer, Reiki Master and Ayurveda Therapist who has studied and worked in partnership with various Yogi and Ayurveda Doctors.
She got her start in India in 2008. She subsequently expanded her knowledge working with African Traditional Healers in Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa. The footprints of her healing work is in these countries as well as the United States of America.
For the preparation of her Spa oils, she has more recently included the ancient healing wisdom of her own village healers and added herbs of the Mt Kenya forest to her stock from India.
What Drives Her Work
To grow and expand Gacheke AyuYoga activities in Kenya including extending her teachings and services to more people locally and internationally. She has a vision of generating Spa services-based income to support costs, Yoga & Spa training, livelihoods and education of more of the Village girl Therapists. These girls in turn support their families– most of them headed by abandoned mothers or grandmothers, themselves casual village wage laborers living in dire poverty.
Her Current Work
Now based in Nyeri County, Kenya, Gacheke lives with her husband Scott in their Village sanctuary on the slopes of Mt Kenya Forest, where she continues to learn and teach yoga and Ayurveda as a natural healing modality and a way of life.
Over the years and in many countries, she teaches her 90- minute Pranic Yoga class, holds therapeutic Monthly Workshops and Retreats in Nature focusing on healing and prevention of lifestyle diseases associated with doshic, pranic and mental-emotional imbalance.
Using the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda and their focus on food, herbs, massage therapies and yogic practices as medicine, she gives guidelines for the healing and prevention of lifestyle diseases such as:

- Heart diseases
- Diabetes and related problems
- Arthritis
- Strokes
- Insomnia &
- Premature ageing
